Making Christ The Focus

Seeking Christ’s Love to permeate your being and transform your outlook.

John 3:6-21

God’s Everlasting Love

6 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. 19 And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. 20 For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. 21 But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.”

My Gracious God…

The God who gifted me this body and this soul,

The God of my everyday breath,

The God who loves me more than I can ever fully understand

Thank you for giving me a body and a soul that can love, that can offer love and that can be loved.

Allow this body to cherish the embraces of those who care for me;

Allow my soul to constantly be aware of your love, your support, and your guidance everyday, in the minutes, and in the seconds of my life.

Grant me the strength to honor this body you have gifted me.

Grant me the power to love deeper.

Grant me the spirit of true discipleship, one that encompasses all that I am.

Give my body and soul the desires to worship in profound honesty and in vulnerability.

To you God, I dedicate ALL.

Help me to seek your light and withdraw from the dark areas of my life.

Help me to love you more than any attachment to worldly possessions and pleasures.

Help my spirit to crave your presence like my flesh craves daily food.

Help me… (List areas of help)

Remind me of the many blessings I so easily forget.

Remind me of the miracles you have performed in my past.

Remind me that I am your son/daughter, and you are my everything.

Remind me… (List past reflections of God’s presence in your life that are sometimes forgotten)

Through these 40 days help me to fully embrace your love and share it with others.

In the name of Jesus the Christ, Amen
