Church and Community – Pt. 2

Worship God through service to your church and love for those who gather to worship

Hebrews 10:19-25 (ESV)

19 Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus, 20 by the new and living way that he opened for us through the curtain, that is, through his flesh, 21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

My Savior and my King,

You are the True Light and shines in the dark places of my life.

You are the Rock of my Salvation that shall not be moved.

You are the Chief Shepherd that watches over me and prevents me from great harm.

You are the Head of the Church my faithful Groom who continues to pursue me despite my unfaithful ways.

It is through your blood I have been redeemed and forgiven.

Thank you for the brand new mercy of a new day.

Thank you for the strength to face this day.

Help me to hold fast to this truth.

Help me to receive Christ’s Redemptive Blood and embrace its forgiving power.

Draw me closer to your presence with this Truth.

Let my cares and concerns for the things of this world melt away as I draw nearer to you oh God.

My desire is to be faithful to you and faithful to your church.

Help me to not forsake the assembling of believers who all cling to your Truth.

Give me a willingness to be stirred by the love of others and a love that will stir others.

Show me how to love my brothers and sisters in word and deed.

Deal with those areas of my heart that cause me to rebel, hide, or even run from that Love.

Give me the words to encourage others and the heart to receive encouragement.

Deliver me from insecurities that hinder this type of worship from pouring out of my soul.

Rescue me from my own thoughts that tell me I do not deserve this kind of love and fellowship.

I surrender all unto you God that I may worship you through my service to your church and love for those who gather to worship.

Strengthen me in the areas of:________________________.

In Jesus name I pray, AMEN.
